汉语语法第二十三讲:名词谓语句 (Míngcí Wèijùjù) – Noun Predicate Sentences
Noun predicate sentences use a noun or noun phrase as the predicate, directly stating the identity, characteristic, or attribute of the subject.
-
主语 + 年龄/籍贯 (Subject + Age/Native Place):

她是北京人 (tā shì běijīng rén) – She is from Beijing.
-
主语 + 时间/钱数 (Subject + Time/Amount of Money):
This structure directly states the subject’s time or amount of money.
Example:
现在是下午三点 (xiànzài shì xiàwǔ sān diǎn) – It’s three o’clock in the afternoon.
我有一百块钱 (wǒ yǒu yī bǎi kuài qián) – I have one hundred yuan.
